Put the right people into the right groups, without doing it by hand.
You set the rule for a group once, and we take it from there. New people who sign up land in
the groups that match them. Members already on your site? We can add them in too, quietly in the
background. All of it lives in the group's own edit screen, so there's nothing extra to learn.

What's inside
Everything you'd want, nothing you don't.
A focused plugin that does one job well. You set a rule for a group, and we handle the rest:
new sign-ups land in their groups straight away, and we can sweep through existing members
in the background when you ask us to.
Set it up where you already work
When you open a group to edit it, you'll see a new tab called Auto Join. Your
rules live there, with the group they apply to. No new settings page to find.
Sits with the other group settings, exactly where you'd look
One rule for new sign-ups, a separate one for existing members
Fields you don't need are tucked out of the way
Nothing new added to your admin menu
New people, sorted on day one
When someone signs up, we check your rules and put them in the groups that fit. They land
somewhere they belong before they've even finished poking around.
Catches both WordPress sign-ups and the BuddyBoss flow
If sign-ups need email confirmation, we wait for that first
Won't touch anyone who hasn't finished signing up yet
If they're already a member somewhere, we leave them be
Catch up the members you already have
Turning on a rule for existing members? We'll work through them in small batches in the
background. Your site stays responsive, and the process doesn't care how big your member list
is.
Comfortable on sites with thousands of members
If something interrupts the run, it just picks up where it stopped
Turn the rule off and we stop right where we are
Save the same rule again and nothing happens (no double-runs)
Pick who counts
For each rule, you choose the audience: everyone, just people with certain
WordPress roles, or just those with specific BuddyBoss profile
types. Whatever fits the group.
The role list matches whatever you've got set up on your site
Same with profile types, if you use them
Don't see profile types in the dropdown? Just switch them on in BuddyBoss
Want a break? Set the rule to "None" and it pauses without losing your settings
Keeps up when members change
Promote a Subscriber to Editor, and they slide into the editor-only group right away. Switch
someone's profile type and the right rules re-check too. You can choose whether each group
pays attention to these changes or not.
Watch for role changes: re-checks the rule when WordPress roles update
Watch for profile type changes: same idea for BuddyBoss profile types
Off by default, so busy groups can skip the extra checks
People still finishing sign-up are left alone, as always
Cautious on your behalf
Automation can go sideways when it's pushy. We built this one to be careful: we only add
people, we never take anyone out, and we never double up.
No one ever gets removed by the plugin. That's your call, not ours.
If someone's already in the group, we skip past them quietly
Switch off a rule and any work stops, even in the middle of a run
Ready for translation if you run your site in another language
Feels like part of BuddyBoss, not bolted on
We tried to make this feel like it was always there. Settings live with the group they belong
to. The heavy lifting happens in the background, off to one side, while you do your thing. Once
you've set it up, you can mostly forget about it.
Only switches on once BuddyBoss is up and running
If anything's missing, you'll get a clear heads-up, not an error
Saving the same rule again won't kick off another bulk run
Ready to be translated if your site isn't in English
How it works
Set up a group in less than a minute
Open the group, pick who joins, hit save. No wizard, no extra screens, no fuss.
Head to BuddyBoss → Groups → All Groups and pick a group.
Click the pencil to edit it, then open the Auto Join tab.
Decide who you want this for: new sign-ups, existing members, or both.
Choose who gets added: everyone, certain roles, or certain profile types.
Hit Save group. If you added existing members, that starts running.
That's it. Members will start showing up in the group on their own.
Pricing
Pick a plan, get everything. No catches.
Same plugin, same features, no matter which plan you pick. You're just choosing how many sites you'll use it on.
Please check before you buy: this plugin only works with
BuddyBoss Platform 3.0 or later, with the Groups component switched on.
If you're on an older BuddyBoss version, it won't run. Quick way to check: open your
WordPress admin and look at BuddyBoss → Settings, the version is listed there.

Set rules per group, in the group edit screen
One rule for new sign-ups, one for existing members
Straight answers, no hedging. If yours isn't here, drop us an email.
Where do I configure the rules?
Right inside the group's edit screen, under a new tab called Auto Join. We
didn't add a separate settings page because rules really belong with the groups they're for.
Open BuddyBoss → Groups → All Groups, click the pencil on a group, and you'll
find it.
Does the plugin ever remove anyone from a group?
No, never. The plugin only adds people, that's it. If you want someone out of a group, you
handle that yourself in BuddyBoss. We did it this way on purpose, so changing a rule won't ever
accidentally yank someone out of a group they've been in for months.
Can it handle a site with tens of thousands of users?
Yes. When you turn on a rule for existing members, we work through them in the background a
handful at a time. The site stays fast for everyone else, and if something interrupts the run
it just picks back up from where it stopped. You don't have to babysit it.
What audiences can I match on?
You've got three options for each rule: everyone, just people with certain
WordPress roles, or just those with certain BuddyBoss profile
types. The profile types option only shows up if you've got that feature switched on
in BuddyBoss. If you want to pause a rule, just pick "None" and your settings are kept for
later.
Will saving the same rule twice double-join people?
Nope. If someone's already in the group, we skip past them. Each bulk run also remembers who
it's already worked on, so nobody gets touched twice. Saving the same rule again is harmless,
it won't kick off another run.
I changed a rule but nothing seems to be happening
We remember what we last did for each group, so if the Auto Join fields look the same as last
time, we skip the bulk run. Saves you from re-processing the same members over and over. If you
want to force a fresh run, just flip the rule off and back on, or change one of the role or
profile type selections.
What happens if someone's role or profile type changes later on?
If you want, yes. There are two switches in the Auto Join tab, one for role changes and one
for profile type changes. Flip either on and we'll re-check the rule when those things happen.
They're off by default, so groups that don't need this don't pay any extra attention to it.
Does it work with BuddyPress, or just BuddyBoss?
We built it for BuddyBoss Platform with the Groups component on. You'll need BuddyBoss
Platform 3.0 or newer, since that's when the new group edit screen showed up (and that's where
we put our settings). If something's not quite right, you'll see a clear note in your admin
area, not an error.
Is it going to slow my site down?
It shouldn't. New sign-ups only need a quick check, and the bigger work for existing
members runs in the background, not while someone's loading a page. If a group has both rules
set to "None", it adds nothing on top.
If I switch the plugin off, what happens to memberships?
Nothing alarming. The people already in their groups stay put, because that information
belongs to BuddyBoss, not us. We just stop adding new ones. Your rules are kept on file, and
they pick right back up the moment you turn the plugin on again.
What do I need to run it?
WordPress 6.0 or newer, PHP 8.0 or newer, and BuddyBoss Platform 3.0 or newer with the
Groups component switched on. If something's missing, you'll see a friendly note explaining
what to fix.
Try it. If it's not right, we've got you.
Give the plugin a real try on your site. If you hit a wall in the first 14 days and we can't figure
it out together, just email us. We'll process a refund and there are no hard feelings.
